Iran will be in the spotlight again due to Putin's announcement that he will attend, despite threats of an assassination attempt on his life. Participants at the summit will discuss how to divide the rich resources found in the sea-bed. This new development poses another roadblock for preventing Iran's growing influence in the region. With Iran and Russia forming new bonds and sharing resources, any future push to implement U.N. sanctions against the nuclear dedicated nation, seem rather futile in the face of Russian support.
