Who Killed Mughniyah?

Immediately following the assassination of Imad Mughniyah, many in the Middle East quickly blamed Israel for the killing. However, what the media did not report was the plethora of accusations within the Muslim world, blaming Iran, for killing one of its own.

Mughniyah aka the Hajj, was one of the world's most wanted terrorists. With America and Israel's saber rattling against Iran's nuclear program, many in the Sunni world believe Iran committed murder in order to protect their state secrets from entering into the hands of the West.

Mughniyah, who was living in Syria at the time of his death, was one of a handful of top Hizbullah members who could connect the dots between Iranian and Syrian leaders and the operational maneuvers carried out by Hizbullah. Despite previous accusations against some Arab governments for killing the Hajj, the Iranians would stand to lose the most, should the Hajj fall into the hands of captors.

This information was provided by Sunni Jihadist websites who put the blame squarely on Iran, and warn of future Iranian escalations in order to destabilize the region by upsetting the balance of current Sunni-Shia relations.
